Now that you mention it, you're probably right.

Please don't mistake my appreciation for Dean Cain for me thinking he's better than Christopher Reeve. Reeve will always be the best Superman, best Clark too, but I can still appreciate others in the role.
He had a lot of strikes against him with that movie. Nevertheless, I think he has the right look; and while the upcoming film look like it will be awful hopefully he'll be able to deliver a better Superman. I don't need the whole movie to be good, just a scene, a moment.
Agreed.
Dean Cain really looked the part. That's Superman in that photo, no doubt about it.
Hey, great idea! Let's all get a beer!!!! Yeah!!!!
Yes.
The Flash run by Francis Manapul. His panel layouts were incredible, his illustrations full of tension and energy. It wasn't until a fill-in artist came aboard for a few issues that I realised that I did not care for the story much at all.
Artistic skill can make up for poor writing. I loved Manapul's new 52 run of Flash, right up until another artist did some fill in issues. Then I suddenly realised that the story was incomprehensible. I hadn't noticed because I was so in love with Manapul's panel layouts and energetic compositions.
I must object to the description of Robert Kanigher as a hack. You may not like his Wonder Woman but he wrote some great Sgt. Rock.
"In order to avoid a scandal, Ellis has sex with a prostitute." Excuse me?
They also likely wanted to differentiate him from the glut of primary coloured characters. Say what you will about orange and green, he's the character I associate with those colours.
I'll upvote you, but I can't pretend I fully understand what you guys are saying.
Tsunami! Neptune Perkins!
Or they wanted colours that would be clearly visible using the crude printing of the 40's.
AQUAMAN IS AWESOME! ALL WHO THINK OTHERWISE ARE IGNORANT FOOLS!!!
I get very frustrated at the common idea that "Comic Book" and "Superhero" are synonymous. Whenever a customer at my comic store identified him/herself as a new reader and asked for suggestions, my response would always be "What kinds of stories do you like?" Then I would suggest Bone.
Horror: Locke and Key
Great interview, great subject. I am now extremely interested in checking out Walker's stuff.
As a Richie Rich purist, I am appalled at the liberties this production has taken with such an iconic character. Fie! Shame on all of you!
