Finally saw True Grit, the remake. It was meh….Bridges owned, but disappointed by Damon and Brolin. The whole tone just kinda seemed off to me. Definitely not a part of the Coen's pantheon for me. Also watched Cars for the millionth time with the kid. That Larry the Cable Guy just never gets old, does he?

Probably re-read LOTR 5 times, the Hobbit a couple more and the Silmarillion a few more. I'm with Clueless, Unfinished Tales is great. It's the only one I've gone back to in the last 5 years.
