Okay season premiere. The backpack plot just kind of sat there but it was just a C-storyline. The opening gag about being a week late to start school was kinda funny, but doesn't hold up if you think about it (Brick's social isolation I can buy having him miss the news, but Sue's close friendships with other school…
It's the first one. I assume they'll figure out how to indicate it's a double-review next week.
But when hasn't it? Any sitcom that runs more than a few seasons is almost guaranteed to have him pop up as a minor recurring character.
That song was number one in the UK for sixteen straight weeks. And here for almost half as long. That was allowed to happen.

That was supposedly part of the plan though, at least to some degree. It only fell through because the production company didn't and still does not have the rights to certain characters.
Hannibal waited until season two to off Beverly (much more minor character, I know). It would probably have more impact to do something like that now, but it could happen in time.

So, for Batman fans/geeks, coming from someone with a less knowledge of the franchise, has it always been acknowledged that Batman's enemies were significantly older than he is or any of the characters given approximate or relative ages? Or this is something new for this iteration?
Maybe not, but there's been nothing in the way of subtlety yet so I'm not giving the show enough credit to pull anything close to a misdirect.
I think it might be part of an effort to create an amalgamation of time rather than a specific real-world setting. The world of the show would be a combination of the different eras of the character: forties, sixties, nineties, now.

I didn't care much for it either. I'm thinking it might have been better if it wasn't based on an existing property, something where you're legitimately wondering how little things are going to pay off instead of knowing "That guy's gonna be the Joker, she's Poison Ivy," etc. I know that potential audience exists,…
