thank god someone else sees through the thin veil of the stupid time travel stuff in before the flood

i liked that it brought a sense of adventure back to the show, instead of the past few episodes (that I still enjoyed) that seemed to just cautiously travel from set piece a to set piece b, this time they dived in head first (!) into the adventure

I don't think that time was relative between the compression dial and gallifrey's time, i think the dial was just sent to the end of the universe where gallifrey was hiding, and then the doctor spent 4.5 billion years internally. I doubt the time lords would put the doctor into a thing to extract information and
