See, with dark and sharp I have no problems at all - but I feel that in this case it is neither. Although it might come down to a matter of definition - for me, Arrested Development or Community (or something like those) constitutes sharp and occasionally dark; yet I find your mention of It's Always Sunny……
I know I'm in the minority here, but what exactly is supposed to be funny about this show? This is not condescending, I genuinely wonder about it. Is it so over-the-top and on-the-nose that it is supposed to make you laugh exactly because of these qualities? If that is the main basis of the comedy, than I guess it's…
