I'm surprised he hasn't had Psy on the show yet.

I think my favorite song of the year (unless something great pops up in the next 2 weeks) is "Be Be High" by Euros Childs (ex-Gorky's Zygotic Mynci head honcho).  It's amazingly upbeat and is just an instant generator of happy.  And at the end it makes this sudden downbeat shift that might be even better than the main

Noel, cheers for the Antibalas mention.  I've been going mad for Afrobeat lately, and grabbing all the Fela, Tony Allen and Antibalas albums I can get my hands on.

I would recommend The Nightfly.  There's a lightness of touch to many of the songs, which should be enjoyable if you liked Aja or Gaucho.  Also, he going back to his jazz & pop influences from the early-mid 60's, so there's a real "cool jazz" feel about a lot of it.  "I.G.Y." and "New Frontier" are the tracks most

Rodney Dangerfield in Natural Born Killers.  Not exactly badass, per se, but damn that performance freaked me out.

Thanks, Noel, for that wonderful link.  I've just spent the last 6 hours reading the site.
