Here's a question - Jesse admitted to Todd that there was a tape recording of his confession, so does this put Marie in danger of the Aryan nation? If they head to her house to find that tape…

I thought you were crazy at first but you make a really compelling point.
This excerpt from Wikipedia pretty much nails the relevance: The central theme of "Ozymandias" is the inevitable decline of all leaders, and of the empires they build, however mighty in their own time.
All Walt needed was a few hundred thousand at one point, why did he keep cooking?
Vince Gilligan called his shot a while ago by naming this episode as his favorite in the series. Holy fuck did he not let us down.
I also loved Jesse practicing his sword fighting (or whatever) in the background. It almost made the whole cold open feel like a nice nostalgic glance back into better times!
Shipmate, they lined up their shots and were carefully aiming for a full 30 seconds before they fired. One of them had a freaking AA-12 - an automatic shotgun - that would have sprayed enough of a pattern to almost definitely hit one of them. And then after the shooting begins, Hank and Gomez are hardly moving too…
I'm fine with him being tricked by the cell phone pic - he got very emotional and the show has built up his vanity for years, so the reaction was just fine.
Dammit… I hate the freaking trope of 'many people shooting at each other with automatic weapons and shotguns but can't hit each other from a few feet away while carefully aiming'. I thought Vince was better than that!
Really, Mark Perigard? A 67? This is why Boston can't have nice things.
Please tell me he wears the 'Tweaker Hunter' shirt in the final episode.
Obviously Walt and Skyler have $5,318,315 stashed in the barrels.
I'm looking forward to next week's hilarious episode when Walt Jr. cashes a winning lottery ticket…
I did not intend to sit here and watch all 11+ minutes. And yet I did.
"Every wobbly episode was like the awkward, sexless Valentine’s Day of an unhappy married couple with years to go before the kids are out of the house and they can officially drop the façade."
J.K. Rowling in the Deep?
It has been a lot of fun this season, knowing what's coming, to cringe at each of those lines. Hell, I think one episode even had Joffrey ask Tyrion how he'd hypothetically kill the king, "Poison!".
This also gives us a chance for some added dimension to his relationship with Tyrion prior to the trial - maybe the admission of the true fate of Tyrion's first wife comes out a bit more organically.
Oh, and having Jamie arrive early doesn't really change anything. Brienne will get thrown in a tower cell pretty quickly, maybe even while attempting to get Sansa out for added TV drama, so that loop can close. Jamie being present for his son's death adds a great layer to his character and gives a chance for viewers…
I hope they stretch the siege out for several episodes. Check in one day with giants pounding on the gate. Check in another with mammoths and the turtle being built in the distance. Check in for the turtle and Jon being pulled down for treason.
