I loved that moment. I saw it as sort of a meta-commentary on mental illness/disease and how the only person who comes close to hearing Frank's villainous musings is one whose mind is slipping — implying that Frank, while intelligent, cunning and ruthless, is obviously fucking crazy.

I totally understand skepticism and derision for this trailer, but the real-life story is surreal and bonkers. Read it if you need a good WTF reality-check.

Some people might laugh at this considering how quickly his career cratered, but I totally understand where you're coming from.

Dammit, he could have done both if Fox would've sold out a decade earlier!

Jumping on the ubiquitous love for young Jon Hamm as Superman, is there any reason he couldn't play "Old Superman"? For comics aficionados, think 'Kingdom Come' or 'Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow?' or something along those lines. Pipe dream of course. But I guess that's what this is all about.

Doubly impressive considering Venom and Carnage weren't even created in 1985!

I love him as Luther, as well as the sensibilities you describe. I wouldn't want him to lose that working class edge/pathos in his acting. But I'd also love to see him earn "A List" esteem and prove that there's no big deal about a person of color taking over an original white role and helming a mega-franchise.

The main argument I've heard against Idris Elba's candidacy as James Bond (the only semi-credible one that has nothing to do with racial bias) is that he's a bit too old to jump into the Bond franchise and take it over. He's only 43, so I think it's nonsense. Even if the studio felt it couldn't have a Bond older than

Obviously Gadot looks great, but anyone else diggin' Robin Wright…?

"YAAAAAAYYYYY!!!! … AAWWWW…"

This has been my feeling since I saw the second BvS trailer:

When the best argument in favor of the spin-offs is, "Sure, the introduction and core of this universe was crap, but you'll love these solo films because they're nothing like that piece of shit!" you still made a huge mistake.

… legendarily deadly. An Amazonian could take a person's head clean off with a pillow!

I seriously had to struggle to remember the plot to Iron Man 2 for a second. So you're probably not far off. (I think I liked it better than Iron Man 3, but it's been so long, who really knows?)

:::NO PLOT SPOILERS HERE:::
A grade of "B" would probably be the floor for me with regard to any episode this season (only one I can think of in particular). And not many below A-. Anyone reading this review who hasn't watched beyond episode 2 should take heart that IMO the whole of season two is strong and picks up

Touché. Inartfully-worded on my part. I shall draft a letter of apology to the Supernatural Division of the Anti-Defamation League post-haste.

Only because you were an extra good nerd this year.

Thank you for this. In light of all the negative reviews, it's the most illuminating thing I've read about what to expect. You now have me primed for how to approach this movie without being too let down nor to allow myself to get too hopeful. YOU are the real hero here.

We knew Doomsday was in the movie, but it never once occurred to me that they would actually have him kill Superman. I never even entertained it because it's cheap, lazy, and stupid. I obviously underestimated the plot twist depths to which this movie could sink. Sigh.
