Every piece of music from "Bye Bye Greasy" (the episode, not the musical).  The whole audition sequence.

Good point.  I guess it's just sort of wishful thinking on my part, since it's the only way this story line could end up being remotely interesting.

We are two famous men from France both named Louis!

Her delivery, followed by wide smile, of "For cracking your nuts!" has me in stitches every time.

They also have the letter Vera wrote to a friend, saying Bates was "as angry as I've ever heard him" and that she feared for her life.

He made her choose between two cups of tea: a good cup and a bad cup.  One cup was filled with rat poison; the other was harmless.

I think Bates really did do it; I have said it before a couple times, I think.  I just get that feeling from the way every character is saying "I KNOW he's innocent!  There's NO WAY he could POSSIBLY ever have committed murder!"

Take off your 21st century goggles!

I know! The look on her face when she realized he knew what happened, and the way she seemed to deflate before our eyes, it was shame and relief at the same time…Dockery for the win.

And don't forget the Dowager Countess!

I do find him sort of adorable, like that nerdy, older college professor you had an intellectual crush on, but if you ever decided to try to hit it, he would probably curl up in fright.

Ah, I misunderstood your meaning.  Apologies!

Ew…least sexy maids' oufits ever.

Definitely (m).  It was forshadowed throughout the episode, but really—why do we as an audience need Lavinia's permission for Matthew and Mary to be happy together?

"No touching!" made me laugh out loud during what was supposed to be the darkest moment of the episode.

I'm sorry, but no matter who plays Davis, no one would ever think this show is "real."

I was going to comment on this, but I stopped myself.  It was too atrocious even to merit a correction.  English Grammar 101!

No reason to tolerate her?  Andy depended on Maggie, not the other way around, and she was his best friend.  It surprises me that someone would find her unlikeable.  But I know that opinions differ.

I think Davis is quite a good actor; it's a shame he was seemingly forced to do a Brent/Millman impression in this.

Chubby Gervais was funnier than Skinny Bearded Monster Gervais.
