The aristocrats!
The aristocrats!
This is strongly hinted in the book (albeit done by the Manderlys) and relates back to the Rat Cook story. Although, that said, GRRM probably had Titus Andronicus in mind.
Qyburn Rumor Corner: Wildfire in the walls?
I won't begrudge anyone who prefers the show—but this is one of a few threads that genuinely does work better in the books.
That's what I thought at first. But in context, I think Littlefinger makes more sense.
I've seen a theory going around that Cersei might use the cache of wildfire to torch Kings Landing. When the Queen of Thorns said something to her about not being able to kill all her enemies in KL, I started to wonder if that was foreshadowing.
I've always felt like the Brotherhood Without Banners descent from Robin Hood types into vengeance-seeking bad guys was a sad facet of the books. I'm wondering if the show wants to invest enough time in them to go there.
If any group of people is going to be cool with kinslaying, it's the Iron Islanders.
I look forward to learning what Varys heard from the sorcerer's fire. I hope it is something about Blackfyres, immediately followed by 70% of the show viewers being completely confused.
I wouldn't be surprised if (spoiler) we even see Dragonbinder.
I guess we're due for some Frey-hunting, if nothing else.
Assuming no Stoneheart, do we ever see the Brotherhood Without Banners again? With the show pretty much ignoring the Riverlands, I'm wondering if we never see them again.
Did the High Sparrow tell Tommen that Cersei conspired to kill Robert Baratheon?
Yeah, Joffrey did a lot of horrible things, but they were paced out and done in different ways. Which made him an even more loathsome (meaning better) villain to root against.
So, I'm pretty sure we are going to see The Mountain vs. The Hound (as champion of The Faith), right?
I wish that, instead, this was a renewal of The Colony, a bizarre and awesome reity show about people living in a warehouse after the apocalypse.
I was a big fan of New Girl, but when they brought Coach back it dragged the whole show down.
Poor shoe-booty.
I think they are setting up Brienne killing him—either this season or next. He had to turn into a cartoon villain first, though, so the audience would not have any trouble deciding who to root for.
Hey you know that Stannis character we were injecting with nuance and personality? Well, we don't want you to think he might actually belong on the Iron Throne, so we're going to have him be a horrific asshole to everyone and then burn his daughter alive. Thanks for watching.
