The only video you ever need for a Manic Pixie Dream Girl article is Natalie Portman doing that weird little nonsensical noise/dance thing in her bedroom in Garden State.  That pretty much sums it up: http://www.youtube.com/watc…

The appendices!?  Oh dear God, no! NOOOOOOO!

No I get it.  I enjoyed the clip too.  I'm just not surprised they got angry with him.

I think I want to like Reggie Watts more than I actually like him, if that makes any sense.  He's clearly a nice dude, and I thought 'Fuck Shit Stack' was pretty funny, but I haven't enjoyed the rest of his stuff as much.  I am willing to accept that I just don't completely 'get it,' however.

Honest question.  I guess that's supposed to be lil' Clark Kent running around with a homemade cape on.  Did kids pretend to be superheroes before there were superheroes?  Could he pretend to be Superman before he was Superman?  Would any kid before the 1940's in the real world have done that?

I think it’s cool that they are apparently willing to play around with the mythology a little bit. One of the problems with Superman Returns is that Brandon Routh could never quite escape Christopher Reeve’s shadow, or his take on the character. So, I’m cool with slightly more brooding, temporarily bearded Clark

Superman has some pretty cool villains, though most of them would be really tricky to pull off in live action.  I always liked this little bit from the Justice League Unlimited cartoon, that nicely explains why Superman has to be a choir boy most of the time.  It also shows why it's good for him to have a villain he

I'm happy the villain is apparently Zod, so Superman will at least have someone he can punch.  I really can't handle another Lex Luthor uses kryptonite to kill Superman as part of some absolutely ludicrous plot to remake the Earth's surface story.  The nuclear weapon/fault line thing in Superman I was dumb enough, but

I'm actually one of the people who did not see Dark Knight Rises this weekend because of what happened.  I thought it already looked super depressing anyway.  Do I really want to watch Batman mope around and then get beat up and thrown in a big prison pit?  Then, with the tragedy in Colorado, I just thought I would be

Now the Avengers vs. Dark Knight Rises box office opening battle will forever have a historical *.  Let's celebrate by never worrying about something so pointless ever again.

I think it's opened in a couple countries.  I'm already getting the vibe that this thing has serious 'love it or hate it' potential.  So, yeah, might just be a couple people who hated it.
