I much prefer "From Beyond" to "Re-Animator" myself. I understand one is a comedy and the other is not, but many of the stagey line readings and attempts at humor in "Re-Animator" don't work for me.

House at the Edge of the Park
Deranged
Maniac
Cannibal Holocaust
Spaceballs

That was my last 'shroom experience. Space Mountain was okay, but we ended up repeatedly riding the Fantasyland kiddie attractions (mr. toad, pinocchio, snow white, peter pan) until the park closed.

Again, I forgot one; Christmas Evil is also one of my all-time favorite films. Couldn't get through Combat Shock.

Dudley sort-of got molested, in the sense that the pedophile made a grab for him with his busy hands, but there was no coitus. His line was "he tried to touch me". I remember it well, because my schoolmates and I were all saying it mockingly on Monday morning after the show aired.

"Fat Guy Goes Nutzoid" didn't do much for me, but  I forgot all about "Getting Lucky", and I own the DVD. Such a great movie.

I had an earbud in one ear, and couldn't hear any of the dialogue from the actress on the right. Troma is incompetent at the most basic of skills.

I'm cool with all levels of transgressive cinema, but if a movie is nothing more than a collection of set pieces featuring women getting mutilated and raped (in that order), then that simply isn't any fun. The  fact that it's an attempt at a comedy makes it worse.

Is that the alternate ending to "The Sandlot"?

"Desperate Living".

Yeah, I've seen all those, except for "Troma's War".
No love for "Bloodsucking Freaks"? I'm surprised. I mean, I think it's completely depraved and based in a deep-seated hatred towards women, but at least it isn't boring.

Good Troma films that are not titled "Toxic Avenger" or "Class of Nuke em High":

Some hardcore doesn't hold up for me. I haven't played the Dead Kennedys (my favorite band in highschool) since the 80's, but I still spin Bad Brains, Cro-Mags and Black Flag's "Damaged" all the time. D.O.A, not so much. But their cover of War blows away any other version.

Throw in "Bloodied but Unbowed" and you'd have their best three, I'm pretty sure. I say "pretty sure" because I haven't heard their post-80's material, but I'm skeptical.

Just don't kick him in the head. It makes a terrible mess.

I know that dude. But I don't go over there anymore. His couch smells funny.

Of course.

Stroszek is a good choice. My second-favorite Herzog film, even though it's extremely depressing.

In the "Born into This" documentary he blames the direction (I guess he wouldn't blame the screenplay, after all). Generally he says that Rourke's performance is too gregarious, which I agree with.
EDIT: what the guy above me said.

Last time I made a similar comment ("you can find this movie on youtube") AVclub administrators deleted it. So don't feel hurt if it happens to you. I'm still working through the pain myself, and it's been three years.
