I love this episode. Probably my favorite of the whole series…but man oh man i am glad to see some Law and Order is going to be discussed. I say this now…Lenny Briscoe: Greatest Character in American Television History.

perhaps so. i would still say the Waste Land is a more important work by an American poet, but I am also leery of calling Eliot an American author. Howl is a very important poem, no doubt, and despite my dislike for the beats, it's still one of the things that holds up.

Does the Waste Land count as an American poem? I'm pretty sure Eliot wrote it in London…but there are a lot better American poems than Howl, which is fine and all, but the Beats….really? I don't think you should be allowed to praise the beats if you are over the age of 21. Also This is Just to Say is a pretty good…
