This isn't from the same studio, though. Realtime Worlds was too busy developing APB: All Points Bulletin for the PC. This was developed by Ruffian Games, a completely unrelated developer. Which makes the almost cloned nature of the game all the more confusing.

I've had a running argument with several friends over how we perceive Crackdown 2
One friend says he was more than happy to shell out $60 to spend more time collecting orbs until the early hours of the morning, and causing mass destruction in four-player co-op.

I'll second Ikaruga. That game was my true introduction to Treasure titles, and I've yet to play another one that quite gets that same combination of frustration and elation.

The Eyephone has an app for that, John!

That's it, Snake. Hurt me more. Make me feel alive again.

Don't get too excited for a bunch of huge titles. Most of the game developers will probably be waiting on the Natal and Playstation Move development kits, or will be showing off early builds of them. This actually figures to be a relatively plain E3, unless Nintendo takes the chance to knock people's sock off.

Well, I'd say The Two Thrones actually had a bit of that old Mechner-esque personality. It broke away from the god-awful tone of Warrior Within, at very least.

Okay Capcom…
We get it, the Monster Hunter formula (4-person co-op as the only decent way to play) is really popular and all, but did we really need a carbon-copy clone that uses guns instead of swords?

I like to think it's a meta-reference to Rockstar's inability to allow a character to swim until GTA: San Andreas. Then again, cognitive dissonance and all…

Go for the PS3. For the more casual person, it has more utility as a media device (also, no paying $50 a year for a shitty online service), and the games that are exclusive are generally better (MLB: The Show, God of War, LittleBigPlanet).

JAAAAYYYY-SSOOOONNNN!

Hey, don't knock Donkey Kong Country 2. I still think that it's the best of the series.

There's still fun to be had, but without having played the NES Zelda, a lot of the gameplay will seem…really outdated. I dunno, it's hard to describe, but if you enjoy(ed) games made prior to 1990, you'll probably dig it.

3D Dot Game Heroes is pretty fun, but a lot (and I mean, a lot) of the entertainment value in the game comes from your love of nostalgia.

I'm on PSN as well, but I play more single player games than anything else (Ocefox4). I used to play Metal Gear Online a lot, Uncharted 2 a bit, and the Bad Company 2 demo for its time, but I just rarely find myself on there these days.

Vesperia's good (although, I wish Namco Bandai would give us Americans the superior PS3 version), just make sure to avoid Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World on the Wii. I've never completely disliked a Tales game per se, but that one was damn near close (it just tried so hard to make you hate it…)

@El Santo - Also, see the rise of the Facebook atrocity known as Farmville…

The one with a chance is probably the PSP, as that's where most of the entries in the series are based.

I couldn't agree more. Fishing is one of those activities that I barely enjoy in reality, and to date, no video game has given me any love for it. Nope, not even Zelda.

I'll give it to you.
