Both me and Raging Bear always end up defending the reviewers, it seems, because so many assholes disagree with the scores so vehemently. I understand that a lot of people are insecure about their entertainment opinions, but come on, does that mean you need to undermine someone's credibility just because he doesn't

I'm one of those lucky people who lives near a video game store that loves to break street dates, so I've gotten about 12 hours of play in so far. If you even remotely have an interest in the classic Western RPGs or BioWare's games, you'll want to at least give it a shot.

Forss Fagerstrom, you're probably just trolling, but I'll bite. ALL GAME REVIEWERS DON'T AGREE ON EVERYTHING. A Metacritic average is worth about as much as shit on a piece of paper, so please people, stop using it as a means of disagreeing with a review.

I dunno, I think two portable Persona games and the beauty that is Demon's Souls gives the year to Atlus right now, although XSEED definitely stepped up there efforts from last year's mediocre titles.

That last one took Bender's Game from adequate extended episode to awesome in about a minute.

The only question is if Warrissey actually caused the collapse.

Or at least make the English dialogue in the series more natural. DMC has always had awful, stilted semantics throughout.

Biznart, yeah, I can imagine it really getting to most people (my roommate gave up after about an hour), but if you come in with the expectation of its brutal difficulty, it helps to soothe the pain.

RagingBear, it's one of those rare games that you die in (a lot) and yet don't seem to get frustrated with. The combat is almost like a puzzle, and when you finally crack it, you feel like the failures helped you reach the conclusion.

Well, it was for the best. Tim Curry is perfect as the sadistic, hedonistic Doviculus.

Atlus loves us
Please people, if you don't start buying the gems that they give us on an almost quarterly basis, you are part of the problem.

Your comment, however, was not quite as informative.

I just don't understand what length has to do with quality. Most action games aren't longer than 7-8 hours because they would become tedious if they went any longer than that.

Nope, because Dio, who was originally scheduled to be in the game, got the boot in favor of Tim Curry. Many believe Ozzy's involvement had something to do with this, but Schafer has denied as much.

I did think he was a little too much of the Indiana Jones archetype in the first game, but he was never a total douchebag (maybe because Elena seemed to bring him down to earth). From what I've heard about the second, he's a little less cocky this time around.

Just be glad games like Splinter Cell: Conviction and Bioshock 2 got pushed back into the next year, because then we'd really have way too many good titles in a short period of time.

Nope, the sale started on Sunday and lasts until the end of the week. It's something they've had at this time of year for the past few years.

I'd go with Uncharted 2 more for the cost than anything. Brutal Legend will probably lose its value at stores quicker than Uncharted 2, seeing as the original still commands $29.99 used.

I just don't see any incentive to upgrade from my PSP-3000
They've basically made a game system that ignores its current base by not giving them an option to convert their current games into digital files to transfer to the new unit.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the Multiplayer Beta
It's like a hybrid of Call of Duty and Metal Gear Online, and never ceases to be amusing. I mean, there are RPG Team Deathmatches…
