I did the exact same thing where I read a Vonnegut book (Slaughterhouse-Five) and then read all the rest. I also did the whole law school and living in Indianapolis thing. So I completely feel both your posts. But, if you think there are a lot of "good" people who  do terrible things on a pretty regular basis, then I

So…All Scotch is whiskey but not all whiskey is Scotch. Meaning, All Technobabble is bafflegab but not all bafflegab is technobable?

So I have no idea what the overlap is between Farscape fans and Whose Line Is It Anways fans but Colin Mochrie strikes me as the love child of Durka and Maldis.

Thank you! Also.

I can get behind the impossibility of translating colloquialisms because there are certain expressions that defy translation even on Earth, but learning foreign languages should be impossible with microbes as some concepts or objects are universal just as some colloquialisms are not.

I actually, really like the fanwank of microbes being unable to translate certain expressions or words because they are "colloquialisms". The best example I can come up with is Schadenfreude.

Liked for faerie tears.

As referenced in the review, Browder going insane is pretty amazing. And what ultimately sold me on the show.

Not directly related but on the first episode I added some commentary track pieces and what I feel was an oversight on my part was not to mention that Rygel was manned by four (at times up to five) people. There was the main

Yes. Yes we do want to start a death count. It seems at first glance to be an impossible mission. A mission impossible if you will. But if someone was willing to document all the times Friends characters slept together, someone should be willing to take up the task of counting how often Farscape characters died.

I so wanted to love that episode, but, sadly, I could not get on board. I think the problem was I was willing to defend the show as zany and wacky only because it was live action. When it became a cartoon, all my previous arguments seemed moot.

I don't know who originally said that, but it sounds like the natural intersection of discordant and lovely. Which is where this show lives so it is most apt.

I, too, cannot get behind this performance. But, I have always been adverse to what I can only categorize aa "funny" voices. As a youngster, Ace Venture was a friend favorite but I could not abide it simply because of the voice. Similarly, friends used to regularly recommend Napoleon Dynamite to me, but I could not

Just wanted to give love to the Colorado Flag.
