My husband thinks so too because he finds the show more focused than the books. I see his point and and I am having a great time watching the show. The reality of it is, it's an adaptation. No adaptation is going to be as good as the book - that's a given. HBO has limited funds, blah, blah, blah. The Wire and Breaking Bad may be better because they had great writers and a producer with a great vision and they didn't have to stick to a story that was already
