Oh I agree that it's problematic, I just don't think that the reversion of Coulson to "happy Coulson" is itself problematic, so much as it is a symptom of an overall problem they've had giving him any sort of a consistent character during AoS.

One of the reasons I really like Nyssa is that I don't think that Katrina Law has that quality at all. Her grief over Sara in Heir to the Demon was played remarkably straight, without any of the bog standard "tender anguish" that is a hallmark of CWism.
The fact that Oliver continues to be kind of a bastard is one of the great features of this series. They don't make him a Saint, even when they make his journey about how he's becoming a better, more ethical hero.
I'm shocked that it didn't get review coverage. It seems like there's a number of commenters who have an issue with it, but I haven't really seen much professional notice of it. (And even the commentariat seems weirdly restrained on such an obvious structural flaw.)
Haha, that's the scene I was referencing with regard to her "surprise face".
*League of Assassins, not Assassin's League.
All babies are useless. So it's not that you can forgive the cliche, it's that you can't forgive babies for being useless.
Oh England, you truly are the Toronto Maple Leafs of international football.
I hereby declare that an extremely problematic story!!! :D
Heyooh!
Rule 66: If two characters exist, someone, somewhere, would really like to see them fall in love and fuck each other.
Yes, only witches can see each other. Vampires and others are by themselves the entire time.
Well it's a little broken, and maybe there's no one over there on stalking duty?
That was such a big day for April, I bet that she slept the entire car-ride home.
@avclub-1922cc1dc1286b56a2d99b7f1aa0630c:disqus, did you know that the incentives are the hostages?
From here on out, Marvel's strategy with the show will be "buying people that nerds like".
Josh made a comment about finding someone attractive once, that's parity! :P
But seriously show: Parity with April is no kind of parity for anyone to have.
Was April ever engaged in romance? Remember April?
Generally the people on The Other Side (tm) can't see each other.
I wonder if Finn will be annoyed that the lady from Smallville that he was in love with is also dead. She was the love of his life right? And now she's dead?
