Real Time and Totally Biased are not comparable to The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. The problem with the former is that their messages are insanely simplistic to the point of being inherently inaccurate, and since they deal with social issues, they can be harmful as well.

The remark about Caroline hating Klaus irked me for that reason, because last season pretty much established that she very definitively does not hate him. It was a night of character regression all around.

I largely agree with this. I saw a segment or two online and enjoyed it before realizing "oh, these people are just wanking each other off", and "oh, these people are making the same jokes week after week." Even so, the previous FX format seemed tighter, on FXX is kind of seems like they're filling time.
