Particularly as it matured, Chuck did far better action scenes. While its villains were a mixed bag, it managed to do far better "case-of-the-week" action too.

I love when fanboys use the "reviewers shouldn't review shows that they don't like" line. Really, as if the job of a critic is to validate your feelings.
Hey now, this show may suck, but Victor Fresco is not a horrible writer.
Seriously, what @avclub-9802e9f46fa34faab35e567f12cd5608:disqus said. Why are you here?
"I feel like that's a dangerous road to go down, because it gives legitimacy to things like "black people are racist against whites now!"
That is a really horrible photoshop. They're not even lit in the same way.
Maybe Whedon's distrust of institutions is interpreted as being a Conservative ideology? There are lots of people out there who interpret any belief they agree with as "belonging" to their political ideology.
I always enjoy character analyses that are based on things that don't actually happen in the story. It dovetails particularly well with use of the Nice Guy strawman fallacy.
I sometimes have difficulties with detecting sarcasm in internet comments, so I'm going to assume that you're just joking here.
That was almost too explicitly ambiguous for my tastes… A weird moment where the writers shouted "look at this spirit mysteriously side with the bad guy! Why would he do that audience???? Huhh?"
Unalaq = Sephiroth
Vaatu = Jenova
Leveling the term "misogynist" at people is a serious fucking deal. Don't use it if you can't back up your claim, which you didn't here because then you're simply trivializing it as a way to marginalize the opinions of others.
Remember when Plec said that Matt would have a purpose this season? Hehe.
They just need to add a Shang Chi miniseries to make it all good, since Shang Chi is considered the objectively better fighter (just with no powers to cheat off of).
The predictability of this show and its increasingly loose plot structure is a bad thing.
I really wanted to like this, because I'm a big fan of these two as performers, but the entire thing seemed like a weirdly low-key presentation of a loosely connected series of "this joke is funny because it's crude" style sketches.
If that's your or @avclub-dc1d56f7ab0d955006ca77e45eb665ea:disqus' downvote, I expect you to own it sir!
YOU CAN'T HAVE A POP WITHOUT A LOCK!!!
Is that your initial reaction whenever a new non-black character shows up on New Girl?
What does Giles have to do with this?
