They're deliberately trying to make it "Generica". Graeme Manson said that being ambiguous about the location was "the price you pay for this type of co-production."

Sovereignty-Association is the vague term that Quebec Separatists used – particularly during the 1994 Quebec referendum – to describe the type of separation they wanted from Canada.

I definitely get a former IRA vibe off of Mrs. S. That she uses a shotgun sort-of reinforces that idea for me. A definite militia weapon.

A fantastic season of reviews Caroline!

The idea that Helena can recover from the gunshot is terribly exciting for me.  Thank you for getting my hopes up!  It might have been a stretch if she wasn't identical to Kira's birth mother but…

In an earlier episode, the police actually mention that they should have been able to detect differences between the fingerprints.

What? There's every reason to be paranoid about these people… Neolution literally conducted a giant illegal conspiratorial cloning operation, violated the bodies of multiple people to conduct medical experiments on them, and spawned a religious extremist group to oppose them.  Under Canadian law, every time Donnie has

It was definitely the semiotics of the patent that was the disturbing part.  They weren't suggesting that, at the current time, a court would recognize them as property.  Remember that they reminded us in this episode that Neolution doesn't want this going public, via Sarah's threats to go on Oprah.

That death by garburator scene was masterful.

While out for a walk today, I saw BAD WOLF scrawled along a sidewalk I often use. Neat!

I'm glad to see that Erik is one of the people holding down these reviews.  Solid stuff as always.

Exactly, and they clearly didn't explore Clara's life because of the mystery. She was presented from the Doctor's perspective, which is shaped by the fact that he relates to her as a mystery to solve, and she relates to him at arms length by only travelling with him every Wednesday.  The plot is constructed in a

They immediately developed Rose, while they held-off developing Clara for mysteries sake.  Additionally, they've hit the gas on the flirtation far harder with Clara, which is a trait that relies entirely on actor chemistry.  These two factors mean that the Rose/9 dynamic isn't a reliable template.

@Merve2:disqus , I would seriously enjoy Acker, Anders, Harrison, and Greer together.  The other two I'm not as big a fan of.  Actually, add in Jewel Staite to that list…

CrackTheory:

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed by this news, just because it means that most of their tenure as Doctor-Companion will have been pretty underdeveloped. Its a shame to do that and not be able to pay it off later in the game.

Invasion of the Lupus.

They should all collaborate on a single show!

I absolutely loved this pilot (when I saw it last year).  The show as a whole couldn't quite live up to it – it delved into wish-fulfillment a bit much, the plots were often a little thin, and the recurring players (e.g. Cindy) were underdrawn/aribtrary – but this pilot is just outstanding.

I have the same ranking as you do Nerg.
