If Silas, Stefan, Damon, Elena, and Katherine would just confine themselves to a single fuck-mansion, the rest of the world would be so much safer!

The first Doctor Who book featuring Clara as the companion happens during the direct aftermath of the JFK assassination, and the world's reaction to it plays a prominent role in the story.

Nice!  It's good to see that Orphan Black is getting some international exposure.  But I'd wager that BBC Worldwide is pretty great at international sales by this point.

I'm less pleased.  This seems like Bendis doing some bandwagon jumping, which will be annoying if he doesn't do anything significant with her.

I liked how Dave eventually got fed up to the point that he finally said, very timidly, "…I feel like you may be coming off a tad chauvinistic" and Damonde didn't even care.  They described him as the guy that goes for one big laugh, but…  Yikes.

I can't believe that they only paid lipservice to the "these heroes aren't that heroic and get people killed" thing. It's one of the most frequently and intelligently discussed points of the show, and it should have been recongized as a plot goldmine.

@avclub-7cbdf9bce9a6ebda0988f7c45702c176:disqus , I think at this point, we commentariat can thoroughly pat ourselves on the back for having figured out the relationship between the two doppelgangers. We're in your head TVD!

-I would bet you so much money that the Stefan-doppelganger reveal is 100% fact.

I just looked back at my comments in "The Departed" thread, and what concerns I had about the show going forward.  How did I do?

I completely agree. With Elena as a vampire the writers lost all clue what to do with her.

The talk about Europe and Britain is literally my favourite thing about that show, so I guess I'm on a different wavelength.

There you are!

An excellent point.

I'm a pessimist when it comes to pop culture, so I'm going to say that he'll be back.

The only thing I like about Silas kicking around is that it could give us more chances for multiple actors to play EVIL.  I really enjoyed Morgan, Accola, and Davis' work as him.

I don't think that Narnia and Materials are all that comparable. Lewis was a Christian philosopher who was using his books to explore the themes, ideas, and symbols of Christianity through his work; the books weren't tracts. When he wanted to say something directly, he did, and published Christian apologia.

You guys could listen to a "A Tribe Called Red" together!

Liked as much as possible.

I loved this week's Bugle, and I am neither American nor British.  What was inaccessible about it?
