@avclub-519b02fcf268e5bb1ca64009341ff77b:disqus , Caroline's "using" of Klaus is a major reason it was reassuring to see they had friendship chemistry.  The two have always had an unequal power relationship – the only time Caroline wasn't controlling Klaus was when he was threatening to kill her – and everything here

@avclub-c3e437a08fd5702a4451eae3163337a6:disqus , is she on something new now that Primeval has been cancelled?

The first and last love line was quite clever, and I'm glad they sort of just ended the scene soon after it.  They easily could have coasted on it until the scene ran out of fumes, but instead they left the scene at its highest point.

@Lord_Tubbington:disqus , did they actually confirm that Sarah Canning didn't want to come back?  That's pretty weird.  I can't see her having a problem with genre shows, since she left TVD for one after it ended.

A Greek chorus from those two amazing. The bro-tential is unlimited.

I believe the doppelgangers would be born on a continuous, cyclical basis, as the Petrova doppelganger is.

Yeah, I also was hoping that Alaric would have been given the cure. But that shot of him defending his bar buy shoving that guy into another room was pretty awesome, even if it did shatter any suspension of disbelief that the rest of the town is in the dark.

What's annoying is now that Klaus is off to another show, that's literally what will happen. They need to deal with that shit in-episode, because that plot deserves an explicit burning.

So Caroline didn't have any differences in her graduation robe compared to the other students…  I guess she didn't make valedictorian then!

The thing with Caroline refusing to cancel graduation was weird, because why would Caroline have that authority? It seemed like they just wanted to go through the motions of some standard Caroline character traits, and so they gave her something random to be Type-A about.

Lexi and Alaric had good chem together…  I was hoping somehow they'd both get a pass and become bros.

Good point on Lexi being able to tip off Jeremy.  Nobody read @olivececile:disqus 's post or the magic will be stripped from the show!

I agree with everything you're saying here Carrie. The episode did not have a single defining plot, and was more like a series of minisodes set over a single day. If there had been two-three episodes for all of this plot, everything would have worked better. Thankfully, many of these little minisodes were great, and

Do you ever pay for any nonessential item?  If so, that's exactly the same as buying a perk on Kickstarter.

Nah, they would've kept it real.

@avclub-fc338fa43180570a8ea616e97bb20dfa:disqus , I'd imagine that some of the drama would come from Klaus trying to hide that he's no longer a vampire.

I'm so disappointed now.

Pretty sure it's semen.

I like to imagine that there is a Darci in the real world, and because of this campaign's failure, she will never find her way out of Thailand.

The "this is a realistic representation of X, and that makes it good" argument is the most insipid critique on the planet.
