For serious. I'm so disappointed, because I really do like Moffat as a writer. Jekyll was goofy and patchy in parts, but pretty great.

When I got here I thought you were the nice time traveler!

C'mon, guy, you can troll better than this. I believe in you.

I hope they don't go back there, but I'm reasonably sure they will.

I just imagine a giant mob of Harris Wittels.

It seems like Phish would be the biggest cult band.

And it's not in present tense, which I honestly think is about thirty percent of why people think his novels feel so intense.

Carnosaur 1's villain's plan was to impregnate every woman on Earth with dinosaurs simultaneously, to which and by which they will give birth and be eaten, respectively. So, I'm not surprised that the sequel got even more insane.

"Every part of the experience is wonderful except for that one that formed the actual reason you're there."

You'll love it; it's my favorite of the three.

@avclub-9bd49c93a34e2aa722142ca8820954d1:disqus That's pretty awesome! I read two books a few months apart that basically pointed me down the route of being a film studies person; only a year or two later did I realize that they both were by Todd McGowan.

Todd McGowan talks about it in The Impossible David Lynch, which is one of my favorite works of academic film criticism; essentially, David Lynch is the most American filmmaker possible.

What was the explanation?

I watched the first three or four The Americans and was pretty bored, but I generally am not a big fan of television. That being said, Hannibal is fucking amazing and I can't believe how good it is.

Well, they did Da Vinci Code before Angels and Demons; why shouldn't they do Inferno before The Lost Symbol?

or Charlie Kelly?

I can never even get past the name.

The spirit of the book is ambiguity. There is not one shred of ambiguity in the film.
