Well, ya didn't. The movie is about a repressed young woman slowly going insane, and the sensuality was intended to be sadder and more terrifying than erotic. Any accusations of "male gaze" speak more to your particular sexual peccadilloes than anything actually within the film.

Oryx and Crake is so so good. The sequels are so so bad. That is all.
