Not to nitpick Deborah, but I can't help myself. Kidneys are retroperitoneal organs. They are separated from the intestines by the peritoneal wall, so guts wouldn't "move in to fill the space."

The diagnosis of anorexia seemed to be based on her height-to-weight ratio/BMI, not just comparing the two pictures side-by-side.
