Maybe it's the new HD tivo we watched this on, but dayum this was beautiful film. All the lighting, costumes, interior and exterior were lavishly photographed.

Yes. I found Joan quite heartbreaking this episode—she's stuck where she is and does not seem willing or able to change. She is not quite the object of ridicule like Mrs. B. But she's on her way there. Peggy may not be liked but she is earning respect.

I loved how her whole family was against Peggy and rooting for Mark: Look how NICE he is, and how much he wants to impress US! Unlike Peggy the ungrateful workaholic wretch.
