I think all of them should be "donated" to the nearest Trump golf course. That way he can enjoy them while he "works."

To summarize the blacklist vs. firing Charlottesville Alt-Right protesters issue:

"Look—she's a skinhead, see? Honest mistake!"

Yeah! Wasn't he non-union Mexican equivalent Angel on that show?

Be careful what you wish for. As so many attacks we've seen recently show, it doesn't take much money to become a terrorist. In Palestine, the lack of financial opportunities has been known to encourage people to become suicide bombers.

Ta-Nehisi Coates is a brilliant guy, but that argument of his you cite is weak and borderline dishonest. The fact that much of the war's gains were given away by Andrew Johnson doesn't make which side won the Civil War irrelevant. Just because all institutionalized racism didn't end with the Confederacy doesn't mean

I doubt that would be acceptable to the people whose delicate sensibilities can't survive the prospect of a show that could potentially be about something they might eventually find objectionable. You know, when it actually exists as something more than an outline in development.

This sounds a bit like that other recent Jessica Chastain vehicle (which I don't think anyone saw) where she was a take-no-prisoners badass who was smarter than everyone else. I think she was a lobbyist in that one?

I'm kinda glad he backed down from the more reasonable stance someone forced him to adopt yesterday. The Kellyanne Conway technique of him feeding crazy talk to his rally audiences and then reversing (but not really reversing) course with more moderate statements later served him well during the campaign.

I'm sure James Woods's alt-right fans will rush to defend a monument that celebrates the fight against fascism. Yep, that one's in real danger from "liberals."

I prefer to think that he believes all those nice white nationalists went out there to protect Ivanka's honor from anti-fashion hippies.

How long between this and the executive order directing the Department of Defense to make him a working prototype of Baron Harkonnen's anti-gravity belt?

He decided to only make movies about subjects or characters related to his last name. Unless his next project is a Kiss of the Spider Woman or Charlotte's Web remake, he's pretty much screwed.

Well, two-fifths of that one-third believe that the sun is pulled along by a chariot, driven by goats. The goats rest in their caves upon reaching the western edge of the world, and that's how night happens.

I apologize for the humor—it's just the way I deal with things. If we're being serious, I'll just say I'm no bastion of political purity. I know the siren call of libertarianism (voted for Ross Perot), and conservatism (didn't vote for a democrat for president until Obama). Also, I understand the substantive

No, "limited government" just means no government for anyone but me.

Wow. Great article. Favorite quote:

Isn't the in-movie explanation for the Persian orcs and the nine-foot-tall Xerxes and all that other craziness that the movie is being told by Greek Faramir, the survivor who's telling other Greeks the story as propaganda to get them to go to war with the Persians? So naturally he's embellishing things so that the

The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean series had established 150+ minutes as a norm well before The Dark Knight came out, and Avatar the following year probably did more than TDK to cement longer running times going forward.

That claim really doesn't hold up. I have a feeling it's almost entirely based on people seeing the final action sequence in movie theaters where the projectors were turned down too low to save on electrical costs. When I saw it in the theater that sequence was murky as hell and I couldn't tell what was going on.
