Watching Ant-Man after the dreary Batman v Superman was like a breath of fresh air. Somewhat disposable and nothing spectacular but it was light, fun and silly. Having a good time during a Superhero movie? Imagine that.

Man of Steel was unbearable. Superman should be fun, light, and corny. MoS was dreary, violent and depressing. The 40 minute battle sequence towards the end left me incredibly bored, I basically existed in a type of fugue state where I wasn't able to feel anything at all. Jackie Chan's First Strike will always have a special place in my heart. Along with Mr. Nice Guy, Rumble in the Bronx and Who am I…I wore out those VHS tapes when I was a lad. Really made me a big Jackie Chan fan. (Project A and Drunken Master II remain his best films imo)

Verhoeven's oeuvre is pretty flawless so I'll reserve judgment until I happen upon it myself.

I was wholly indifferent to this film before this review and now I might have to give a once over on the morrow.

I tapped out whilst trying to finish the third season. I just didn't care what happened, I thought they had done as much as they could with the premise and there was nothing I cared to see resolved. The first and second seasons were a bit of disposable fun tho.
