Totally agree here, and I'd say Six Degrees of Separation may be that exception. He was still doing a variation of his Will Smith schtick, but he added a lot of awesome nuance that—back then—made me very hopeful for his range.

Ugh. The second time I watched this film, I fast-forwarded through Holden's scenes — which are a lot. They were the worst. Frankly, the story is solid enough without him, until the finale, I suppose.

Would guys really remember a woman's specific outfit from a specfic occasion (sexual encounter or otherwise)? Seems highly unlikely. A seemingly wise buddy of mine once told me "Men see shapes, not colors."

I'm with you on this one. Most media don't pay that much attention to random blogs like this one. In the real world, this story would indeed get lost in the noise.

I also thought it was weird that the 27th floor looked like a vanilla shell. I mean, if the firm had just vacated, it seems the office layout should have still been intact. To see it in full tear-down/demolition mode already was strange to me.
