He was great on The Love Boat…
…for some reason, when I was a kid I thought he and Bernie Koppel (sp?) were the same person. I got glasses when I was 8.

No idea who her husband is, but this is the first time that I've seen a picture of him. What confuses me is the vitriol I've heard about him in the past from guys who are gaga for Hendricks. Instead of being so angry that she's married to a guy who they think is an "ugly loser" shouldn't they be happy that a woman…
Fritzy-poo: also, "the chicks will cream for Greased Lightning".
I remember being told a couple of really bad stories about Mel Gibson way back when he shot Bird on a Wire in Vancouver - what was that, maybe '92?. My best friend, who I trust completely, told me these stories which were told to him by a good friend who worked on the film. I usually would dimiss "friend of a friend"…
I find myself in the strange position of not wanting to recommend Torchwood seasons 1&2 to friends because there's so much dreck in there, but…at the same time Children of Earth plays even better if you have some of the background to the characters from the first two seasons.
As it's now too late to recast the lead - but how cool would it be if a network had the balls to do that, say, after a whole season - why not just kill his character off in the season finale? Great unexpected plot twist, you remove the show's greatest liability, and you can divvy up the screen time more effectively…
I think there are two things that make The Transporter The Transporter - Jason Statham and the sense of style. Assuming that they don't get Statham (is there any doubt?) they would at least have to have the sense of style of the first film and some stunningly beautiful locations or else what's the point?
I quite liked Generations, although I recognize that it's not great. I thought that the opening with the spinning champagne bottle through the end of the Holodeck sequence was everything that the Trek franchise does well. And to hear the packed opening night audience relax and let their breath out at the end of the…
I actually thought it was fun and interesting, and don't find it disrespectful. But what does worry me is that little moments and pieces of "information" from this film will work their way into the conspiracy theories about the moon landings, resulting in even more insane bullshit flying around. You know, 'cause the…
I had it when I had to commute for an hour and a half to two hours a day and loved it. There were always at least three things on that I really wanted to listen to, and the quality of the content was great. But now that I'm not a captive audience trapped in my car I got rid of it. Also, I find that the explosion of…
Then they should have ended the show with this:
So Zach, does that mean that you're watching the show on a computer screen? I assumed that you would get a screener that you could watch on a TV, although I guess you could have a TV wired to your computer.
When the Hipsters first came on I wondered if they were getting some of the seniors from "Young at Heart" to cameo as them. But I like the idea that they're the future of the kids in New Directions.
When the hell did Dennis Quaid get a facelift and start singing with this band?
I'm really out of touch with Hollywood stars and their musical vanity projects…
Where's Belladonna when you really need her?
I enjoyed the chess-game like plot
This was the first Chuck episode in a long time where events in the plot surprised me, almost all having to do with Linda Hamilton's character. Shame that the Die Hard homage was so lame, though.
When I was a kid, I had a book about the making of The Empire Strikes Back. Basically, a reporter was allowed to observe meetings, rehersals, and filming, and to interview the cast and crew. He was actually in the trailer for the discussion with Ford and Kershner when Ford said he didn't want to say the original line…
A friend of mine was a PA on a low-budget project that Nielson did in the early 90's, and somehow ended up having to drive him to a location one day. It took a half hour, and although traffic was frustrating and Nielsen was tired he said he was still the most gracious, genial "star" he had ever met. He talked to my…
The scene with the assassin jumping down the sides of the ramp made me sit up straight when it happened. Having watched action shows since the 80's, any time a show can do something that surprises me is super-awesome. The first four episodes of the first season always had at least one scene like that, and I love that…
My first thought when I saw Carol Burnette was "Wow, she has major old person's voice". But she still could belt out a tune, so her speaking voice could have been put on. I agree, she absolutely nailed Jane Lynch's delivery on some of her lines. And it was nice to see the reason for Sue's hatred of but also being a…
