I think they made some more Jetsons episodes in the 80s, to pad it out for syndication or whatever. Not that the originals were landmark TV, but I think the "revival" episodes are pretty much not good.

Also in my 40s, and I've been reading stuff in the AV Club since it was print-only in the Onion. As others say, the senior staff includes some people about my age. But, it becomes more challenging, as I become more out of touch with current music, especially, and the nostalgia columns include items that debuted after

It could sometimes scare me as a kid, so that's probably why I watched it and still remember it somewhat fondly, although it's quite terrible. The alien ghost at the abandoned air base was a particularly scary one, and the ghost race car driver.

Almost 43 here, so Brady Bunch was also a show seen in reruns for me, but I didn't watch it obsessively. Gilligan's Island, however, was a show I probably saw every episode of at least twice. I remember that I was astonished when I realized that it was a show once shown in prime time and meant for adults, along with Be

I was a huge Super Friends watcher, and I've gone back to see bits on YouTube and whatever. Lordy, it was indeed a terrible show. But they couldn't show much, if any, violence, and had to include feel-good lessons in the shows to make them acceptable to the FCC. And then they just had shitty animation. All in all, not

I remember when I watched it as an adult for the first time in 15 years or so, and thought to myself "wow, they're just driving around and around the same few acres of Southern California, aren't they?" But for the big climax, they drove over "Widow's Pass" or something, which was obviously Mulhulland Drive or one of

Ahh, the magical world of Sid and Marty Krofft. I talk to younger people about those shows; they don't grasp the appeal of "Dr. Shrinker" or "Electro-Woman and Dyna-Girl".

The first part of the New Testament has an interesting sort of po-mo literary device, illustrating the main character's life from 4 different, somewhat inconsistent perspectives. However, I think it's a cop out when the he gets killed then brought back. Too comic book for my taste.

I rewatched the first Venus death probe two-parter a while back (yes, another one appeared for a sequel). I didn't think it was THAT horrible, as far as 70s TV goes. Yes, it was one of many shows shot on location in SoCal, and it was a bit padded, but it was a bionic man fighting a Venus death probe! C'mon! That's
