I know. the show ended great but I was still wondering "what the fuck is he gonna do now?" Guess I'll find out in 10-16 months.
It's about a guy named Cord who built and sold cars.
My thoughts exactly. Just because Paul Rudd is in something doesn't mean Apatow has to be involved.
I also liked Mirror Ball. Not a favorite, those are Zuma and Live Rust, but MIrroe Ball is a great record that hipsters overlooked because of the Pearl Jam link? I guess that's why.
Superbad had me laughing out loud with carefree abandon a couple of times and that's no easy feat. 40 year old made me chuckle once or twice, so I'm with the guy in the funny hat on this.
Man, Errol Morris is on my list of people I'd like to have lunch with. But then I'd just say stuff like "geez, those people in Vernon sure are weird, huh?" Or "I'm gonna get iced tea, do you like iced tea?" So I guess it's good that I don't have lunch with the fella.
I used to rock and roll all night and party every day. Then it was every other day. Now I'm lucky if I can find half an hour a week in which to get funky.
"vintage Replacements and Crowded House"
Makes me feel old. Knock it off.
OG Unreg, as long as this is a one-off thing, you are my new favorite poster.
Ah, the old first/fist joke. Haven't heard that on in forever. Do you write monologues?
I also like Feguson and even though he does a monlogue, the ones I've seen are usually a narative (as opposed to a bunch of jokes) that happens to be kinda sorta funny. And even though he often falls back on the "i usta be a drunk and I'm lucky to be alive" routine, his openings are more entertaining than any other…
oh man that was awesome!
When Rourke lightly tapped that guy on the back of his head and then he went down in agony? Makes me wish I'd spent the $50 (or whatever it was) for the pay per view.
By the way, kayfabe is my new favorite word.
What about the wine coolers, Ricky?
Thomas who?
this is far from the last you'll hear….
That and New West not long ago reissued Pizza Deliverance and Gangstabilly. And those are both great..
cocaine and milkshakes, milkshakes cocaine. How about that new solo record? A power pop Big Star-like PH record? That with the Booker T might be all the summer listening I need.
The Comeback
I'm glad to see that show getting a little love. I thought it was pretty good back when it was on, but then all the bad stuff I read about it had me thinking I may have missing something. But if Amelie says it was very funny that be all I need.
I once had a roommate that had his own phone line. One night the regular house line was tied up (these were the days before everyone had a phone in their pocket) so I asked to borrow his phone. He said "sure it's in my room upstairs." So I go up there and there is all this porn, like a shit-ton of it, spread out all…
