I'm 47 and grew up reading Peanuts. A grand strip, an influential and groundbreaking strip. However, I prefer C&H. I find more joy in C&H. More childlike wonder without being cloying. Peanuts is still great, but I find it depressing at times.
I'm not sure what's more offensive, Calvin pissing on various automotive logos, or the other stickers of him praying in front of a cross.
It's downstream from Frostbite Falls.
Since Shulz is dead, I'll put my money on Watterson.
You beat me to posting the same thing. There's a lot of beautiful melancholy on those tracks. Every song is perfect. I also can't help but flash back to 9/11 when I hear that album. My only problem with that album is that to me, it overshadows all of their releases post-Murray Street. Sonic Nurse is a strong showing,…
As guitar player who definitely cites Sonic Youth as a huge influence, I believe they're both great. It's a situation where their individual contributions add to the greater good. The 2 guitar interplay on a lot of SY songs are wonderful things to behold. As with all great musicians, they understand the importance of…

Does a baby Dalek burst out of Hurt's chest? Because that would be awesome.
The jolly, candy-like button!

Some very keen observations. Dunno who downvoted your comment, but I'd say for the most part, you're right on.
Also picking up the tent in a rage when they find the kids.
The trailer makes this look like shameless Oscar bait. It has all the elements. Holocaust, check. Earnest actors with British accents, check. Innocent child, check.
"My inner goddess swooned as he removed his lederhosen…"
From the review, it sounds like this film doesn't really touch upon the core reason why Armstrong deserves to be vilified. He was absolutely ruthless to anyone who got in his way. Unleashing an army of lawyers on anyone who'd dare accuse him of doping. Wrecking people's lives. He's a sociopathic bully. And this is…
