Moral dilemmas
Perhaps I have a harder heart than most or just morally ambiguous, but I honestly don't think I'd have that big of a problem "killing" (for lack of a better term since they're already dead) a friend of loved one. Of course it would sting a bit emotionally, but I believe I'd be able to rationalize it

Wow really?
That's soooo retarded.

Good call. Now that you mention it, I'm going to think that every time I see him. A badass version of Arthur.

He used to smoke and drink heavily. Part of his reinvention after marrying Brennan was cleaning up his act. I'm not completely 100% on this, but I also believe he had some sort of nasty throat ailment several years ago…cancer perhaps?

During the original theatrical release
you were handed a "cheat sheet" listing all the characters and their relationships. My heart sank when I walked into the theatre. Wish I kept that sheet, though.

Bone Machine
That opening drum part sucked me in immediately.

The flipside
Is actually much funnier. It's a surreal interview with Jack White.

Please say Mondo didn't wear knee-socks in high school. If so, any pummeling would have been justified.

Crazy eyes Roberts
Julia Roberts has the crazy eyes and she looks perpetually on the edge of snapping, getting a high-powered deer rifle, climbing up to a church steeple and picking off people.

Is Michael Cera not man?

The music
I'm completely unfamiliar with the comic, but I noticed that spinner.com is streaming both the instrumental CD and the band CD. Gave both a listen today and IMHO believes there's some terrific music to be heard. I hope this bodes well for the movie.

farts

Rivers Cuomo
deserves a good throat punch.

Should be the sequence
I know this is called scenic routes, but I say the entire sequence and not just this scene is fantastic and should be viewed as a whole. From the conversation scene posted above, to Dave getting the pod to the emergency hatch and prepping to blow the hatch, to the hatch being blown and Dave

And a Hershey bar
is the monolith?

"What's better than infinity?"
Watching his sorry ass get the boot, that's what.

I've never seen it
and probably never will.

Seething with sarcasm
Why I have never heard of the Who band before. Their music must be incredibly esoteric and difficult to come by.

God that video is so sad…though back in the day I did covet the salmon pink guitar that's in the video.

When I was a kid
I thought "My Kinda Lover" was "My Candelabra"
