Admittedly, I troll Jenny McCarthy's twitter from time to time, just to see if anyone replies to her asinine jokes with way off-topic condemnations of her views on vaccinations. They surprisingly tend to not get deleted.

Lack of context is what sinks this ad. Is this the end of a teen coming-of-age comedy where the guy and girl have a consensual, true-love thing going on (making the spontaneous kiss about 47% more appropriate), but douchey jock boyfriend is getting in the way? Is this, then, the big triumphant moment for our hero? We

In a very different way, Spielberg can similarly, masterfully manipulate an audience - something Kubrick recognized and made him seek out Spielberg for A.I.

Hm…neither the Japandroids site nor Gaslight's site shows tour dates extending to August. Hope against hope.

When Coachella sold out, I didn't care at all. I'd rather see the acts I really care about perform full shows on their own, and all I wanted to see this summer were Gaslight Anthem, Japandroids and maybe Phoenix (though I knew that was a long shot).

Oh God…the sadness in her eyes…

There's one thing pop is always good at, and that's capturing the essence of youth. Simply because of the fact that young, beautiful, energetic, stupid people are listening to pop, it will always retain that allure for those who can't get over high school as they drive to their shitty job in the morning.

The little horn hook is what burrows into the eardrums, and Ryan Lewis' Dungeon-Family / Outkast-esque vocal seals the deal. The song's a hit, even if the lyrics are (to me) totally dire, just like every other hit on the radio right now.

This sounds like another "God Bless America" - incredible trailer, hinting at a premise that can't actually make it past the short film mark.

Female directors have a different way of shooting attractive actresses than typical male directors (like, I dunno, people) that one of them could probably get at the horror and squirminess of a rape scene with absolutely none of the leering voyeurism.

True enough. I was actually pondering the other day if any decent movies EVER came out in January/February, and Taken at least qualifies for that.

Pretty sure Taken dropped in January or February, too.

@avclub-97b2d5e5f92c333976018236d76658d9:disqus Brilliant final scene. There isn't a MSTie fan I know of who doesn't agree that scene was the way Mike & the Bots should've gone out.

With regards to ruined childhoods, my friends and I have often debated whether we'd choose to live in an alternate universe where the Star Wars prequels were incredible, but everyone at Pixar were revealed to be child molesters.

Inconsequential, trite, pandering, cliched, moronic, paradoxical, continuity-destroying…take your pick. Either way it was the most inept thing I've seen inside a movie theater in years.

The last stab at right-wing satire on TV had to be "The Half Hour News Hour," right? Sweet jesus.

In addition to being beautiful, Jennifer Lawrence is funnier than me, more talented than me, richer and more successful than I'll ever be, and what's more, she deserves it all. There's this lizard-brain part of me, tugging in the back of my skull, that says

Sweet Emotion and Dream On are total aces. I'm hoping those are the two songs he's talking about.

Man this movie was a fucking pile of dogshit. The only redeeming qualities were the 10-second opening credits sequence and the cornfield scene.
