Wasn't that the plot of a "Black Mirror" episode?

It also helps that he's a fairly generic character, unlike Borat or Bruno, etc. He's not playing anything up, outside of his dullness, which makes it easier for him to get away with things.

While I disagree that this was bad, I do agree with some points you make, like Nova being basically useless except for one scene. I think the whole wall thing is a little pedantic, since it was written in 2014, before Trump.

It's weird choice for a summer blockbuster, considering the whole movie takes place in a snow-covered hellscape. It's also bleak as hell.

Having seen the movie, I think it got a lot right with the beginning of the movie (the small, silent moments between the apes) and the ending with the huge action setpieces. But the stuff in the middle is where it falter (Caesar kind of sucks and Harrelson's character is a complete caricature.) I also think IV went

Hmmm…"Lazy Sunday" and SNL came before "Dick In A Box," but if that makes you feel better…

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Or make Doom into the narcissistic person he was in the comics!!!

It was funny show, but that episode really sucked.

Glad we got the gay joke out of the way.

Probably the category it fits closest in.

This is a bad take.

"Popstar" had a few great moments, namely "Equal Rights" and that bee scene. But the pieces didn't really come together besides that.

Exactly! OJ Simpson was a decent comedic actor. Unfortunately, also a murderer.

I'd say "Superbad." Lots of memorable characters, lines and sequences and some pretty great comedic performances.

Well, yeah. It's awful that that happened, but it doesn't take anything away from the movie.

I remember people being over the moon about "Wedding Crashers" and it basically overshadowing "40-Year-Old Virgin" at first, since they were released less than a month apart. Feel like 40YOV (theatrical cut, not the terrible extended edition) has aged much better, outside of the "You know how I know you're gay" jokes.

Also - "Hot Rod."

Judging from You Made It Weird, he sounds like a neurotic mess.

Pretty safe to assume that he was high as hell, as per usual. But good on him for prioritizing his personal life/marriage. I think that's what he was trying to get across. Ah, who knows?
