Don't know if that translates well over to "Con Air," even if old Bruckheimer produced both. Ice Man and Maverick weren't cold blooded killers and rapists, that we know of.

"Con Air" and "Face/Off" coming out the same summer was an embarrassment of riches for not only Nicolas Cage cinema, but '90s cinema in general.
"Mars Attacks!" was pretty fuckin weird for an all-star cast.
He has an Instagram. I thanked him that way.
Who was the person that told Nora the physicist's name? I feel like the people that crossed over probably didn't know that person was there and they likely went to lengths to make sure they weren't outed until Nora arrived.
I think it's along the lines of how Vince Gilligan worked with "Breaking Bad," where he had these grand plans for the characters and such, but then the writers room would challenge him with better ideas and he would adjust. It's way better than going the HIMYM route, where what is planned is etched in stone and that's…
Wait. Are you Jason Mantzoukas?
But that wasn't Sony's marketing for the film. That was more of a viral Internet reaction against the MRA crowd. I never saw an ad that said "Go see this feminist comedy!" or anything of the like.
Yeah, the wonton joke was awful.
Up yours. Chris Pine is hilarious.
Even though I had a good time watching the movie, I'll say that that's the only joke I remember and I laughed pretty hard at that.
I still don't like people that call it a marketing campaign. Leslie Jones's account was hacked and her nudes leaked. Suggesting that she did that to make some money for her upcoming movie is really shitty.
Someone asked and I answered. It is a very well constructed comedy. I still feel bad that Ernie Hudson's character was basically I've nothing to do, but I don't fault the movie for it.
I think it was two things.
I enjoyed the acoustic half more than the rock. I love "virginia Moon," "Still" and "The razor." But there are some
Major duds on there.
And if they stopped, we could go back to making fun of Rabin for that thing he said about Tracey Morgan on "30 Rock" and Dawes!
That was one of my bigger problems with it - way too much Kate McKinnon mugging.
It also doesn't help Aykroyd was promoting the shit out of it beforehand.
The ghost blowjob scene, perhaps?
To its credit - it did give 2Pac his start.
