Noooooo. Carly Rae's new stuff is excellent. But her worst stuff is horribly generic.

It looks like Joel Little was a co-writer on this song. I had no clue he produced pretty all of Broods' last album. I guess I'll have to check that out now.

"Aim and Ignite" is top-too-bottom great album for me, a nice holdover from The Format days. "Some Nights" had a few good tracks on it, but most of its production was really off-putting and ending up sounding like pretty much all nu-alt-rock.

Then he released that awful solo album and it was over. At least he'll have that "We Are Young" and "Some Nights" money to live off of. With Antonoff making bank and likely them not liking each other, there's no reason to reunite.

That's a great song

Yea, Ariel's a genius. The indie Max Martin that has cashed in nicely.

My friend who basically listens to nothing but classic rock and blues wrote "The Wire" and Haim off because the opening of that song uses the same drum part as The Eagles' "Heartache Tonight."

Nope, Anton comes first. We all know this.

Seeing as how he's become a big name producer for Lorde, Swift and such, I'd say it's probably best for you to stay away from Top 40 music.

Featuring Cap'N Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters!

Or it's because it's basically "Reddit: The Show" where it's just meaningless memes that are run into the ground. Or I guess if I wanted to sound hip about it, I've hated "South Park" long before the Trump-Hillary stuff.

Soon, I hope!

DID YA HEAR THE ONE ABOUT KANYE AND THE GAY FISH!? MEMBA THAT!?

That's a good point. And I think it also has to with Ariel Rechtshaid, who really helped develop her sound with NTMT and has really inspired the sound of pop right now. I wish she would gotten bigger, but I think she's gearing herself more towards the indie crowd than a mainstream audience. Maybe "Masochism" will do

Good to see her back. Even though this is way more dancey than her old stuff, it seems she's just as much of an awkward weird person that was when she debuted. Her flailing around will never not make me feel better about my dancing.

The problem I see constantly, especially with horror and superhero movies, is people conflating something being "bad-ass" and R-rated with being better quality than PG-13. Like, I'm seeing the praise showered over "Logan" from the geek community because Wolverine finally goes berzerker mode and says "Fuck" a lot. But

I was too young to enjoy Hall & Oates' peak period, but got into them probably like 10 years ago and have wanted to see them in concert, but after a friend posted a video of them performing last year, I think I missed the boat. Daryl Hall has a serious case of old man voice and can't remotely hit those high notes

This sounds like a Scott Aukerman dream co-headlining tour.

"Love Is The Answer" is such a shitty song that Sugar Ray decided to cover it on their album released less than a year later. Good lord.

You gave up on a band after their second album? Bold move!
