If we're talking about that Esquire (I think) interview, it's one of those stories where both the author and the subject appear to be total assholes that hate each other.

Nah, it's hilarious.

I have nothing to add other than I like this feature and I think Lydia Loveless is great. The new album is killer.

Yeah, sorry man. Thoughts and prayers.

Yeah, by no means am I vilifying you for it. I forgot that show existed altogether until I thought about what existed in the post-TDS spot before "Colbert."

He's middle-aged, scrappy and hungry!

Oh definitely! One of the worst things about the show was when a joke wouldn't land, Wilmore would make this really weird sound. And he constantly did it. It drove me nuts.

At some point, Tosh has to be exhausted from it. I imagine that will come sooner than later, if CC doesn't axe it first.

I've said it before, but the positioning of her looking down and bending forward to the camera sometimes has smacks of her talking down to the viewing audience. Don't know if they've changed that since it's been a little while since I've watched the show.

Nothing is worse than Chris D'Elia.

It all comes down to contracts. They had a couple of weeks to either let the show go on another year or give it the axe and seeing how ratings were still declining, they had to say goodbye.

Okay, I lied. I looked up the episode. I think you might be thinking of a different guest. Garofalo didn't mention Bush or anything, but all of the points she brought up were vilified by the rest of the panel, to an uncomfortable. Watching this show now, it was obviously in the throes of a less-PC era and makes me so

I agree! That's why I'm lamenting that he missed his shot and that we're losing a black voice in late night. He could've been that, but he didn't know what to with it.

We had all been waiting for Charles Widmore to recover from losing his island on "Lost" and this was his last shot!

Hey, "Angie Tribeca"'s pretty funny!

Bee's interview with Rolling Stone seemed to suggest she was interested in the job, but knew from the start that CC was never going to give it to her.

I would love to look back on some of the show's panels to see how off they were, but that would require finding the videos and fast forwarding through 10 minutes of Colin Quinn stumbling over himself over and over.

Right, but I'm referring to the pantheon of late night hosts - besides Wilmore and Noah, there's no late night hosts that are black, which I guess doesn't matter in the long run if you don't pay attention to late night TV, but it's nice to have that perspective there than, say, Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake

Nah, the ratings have shows TDS took a huge hit when Jon Stewart left, but is seeing an uptick. Meanwhile, TNS kept on sinking to the point where ratings were basically showing people turned off of after TDS then turned back on for "@midnight." They were purposefully avoiding his show.

This mean's one thing - it's time to bring back "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn!"
