Eh, it was still pretty dark.

Look, I understand that the AV Club needs clicks wherever they can get them and I can ignore this, but good lord, this is really sinking to Buzzfeed-sequel territory.

Eh, yeah you're right on that front. Her repeated line is "I'm not a hero." I was thinking of the previous two films.

I don't think that's true. Katniss was a reluctant hero stuck in dire circumstances, where Mystique is more of a villain torn between her allegiance to Magneto and wanting to explore her powers with Xavier.

I thought J-Law was solid in both FC and DOFP. But you can tell in "Apocalypse" that she's just bored out of her skull. Of course, the movie was boring too, so that didn't help.

AV Club writes about wrestling and football occasionally.

Me too!!

Did they have more than two albums?

Wow! That IS fun!

Ya got me!

That looks like it was taken in the kitchen of my crappy old college apartment.

He looks like Unplugged-era Clapton in that Instagram picture.

This was a very solid cover. Kesha's got a good voice. It's too bad Dr. Luke is a fuckhole and blocked this from being performed.

Yeah, that happens a lot.

I remember reading stories by the SNL cast saying how much of a perfectionist he is and that he's often living in his head with these sketches to the point where it's almost troubling.

Yes! I often say "OH NOOOO" in that tone and inflection. Nobody gets it, but I feel proud of myself.

I skimmed through the article and didn't realize that was Blake Lively. Wow, she's dame no matter how much you dress her up or down.

"He's gotten as naked as he can in a studio picture."

I think you hit on what I really liked about this is no matter how crude or gross it got, it was never mean-spirited, which is what I think a lot of modern R-rated comedies tend to lean towards.

I'll defend "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey."
