Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that exactly what he did - he studied songs by Green Day and such to see what made them such huge hits and tried to do that with every song on "Green?"

What you need to realize is this is The Thin White Duke writing this, one of the AV Club's most negative commenters.

I believe the producer was quoted in Rolling Stone as basically telling them the album needs to kind of get "back to basics" to the feel of "Blue" and "Pinkerton." And Rivers basically hung out with California youths and used them as inspiration for the songs, so it's an interesting way of creating the album. As a

They use Eric Andre a lot more in the second season. He even gets his own episode. And I guess maybe clever is the word I should have used. I think any comparison to "Louie" is kind of off-base. I don't think it's striving for that at all.

But for the love of God, don't listen to "Where's My Sex?"

One of the "Red Album"'s worst sins was letting the other members have their own song in kind of a weird "See, Rivers isn't all about himself!" way. Those songs sucked.

"Ruling Me" is a pretty solid song.

It's a legitimately great show. Very inventive and funny.

This is all well and good, but I would like it more if it means "Man Seeking Woman" gets renewed too.

I get what you're saying, but since you're going to be so condescending about it, I'll just say you need to add more ellipses.

Please fuck off to some other site.

You invalidated your moronic fucking statement by starting your opinion with "Lady."

My thoughts exactly! It was a Shatner-esque pause.

Even Gilligan admitted it was a mistake on their part to do that and it was never intended to be a cliffhanger.

I simply refer to Mopey McSadGirl as Too Many Cooks because even after this show, it will still be the only thing from which I'll remember her.

To be fair, we knew he Jesse killed him. It was ending with us seeing him with his last shred of innocence. Not some hacky pseudo-cliffhanger.

Better gimme dat pill!

Fuckheadistan!

I assume at this point that it's a steady gig that helps raise her profile and she can put a bunch of money away when the gigs don't come. Before the show, she was mostly in supporting roles for fairly successful comedies. I don't think she really had the clout to say no to a starring TV role.

Story time: I remember thinking it would be crap and getting blown away by it when I saw it for free because my friend worked at the theater (I believe the same thing happened with "Frailty," which was released around the same time).
