@avclub-d0cf409eb912cc0cc950b41b6d892d07:disqus But Winter is Coming!

Plus: wildfire.

Holy crap, I'd already forgotten about the giant!

Watching The Hobbit mid-way through this GoT season was a strong reminder that a lack of action can be a really good thing.

In addition to all the other great stuff in that scene already mentioned here, I liked the look on Joffrey's face at the end. It seemed to be less, "Wow, I just got owned" and more, "I'm going to have to think about this…" He might be just dumb enough to try something.

Genius! I wish his had appeared immediately under the original post, for maximum impact.

I think we're supposed to be getting the implication that the "Lord of Light" is a supernatural force that's being channeled/interpreted by different sects. The way that Dany's powers were revealed by fire, when she hatched the dragons' eggs, will probably end up relating to the other LoL magic shown thus far.

Also, #5: Making Stannis see something convincing in the flames, too.

More Bears!

"I'm going to kill the man that's blowing that horn." Starting to look like some unintentional foreshadowing by Theon.

If we didn't, who would be our CEOs?

Yes. They complain that the show is too slow, stalling for time, obsessive about moving pieces into place. Then something like Jaime's turn happens and they yell, "Too fast!"

12 Monkeys joke here.

I think what the writers meant to say was: And if you think this whole thing has an ending yet, you haven't been paying attention.

Are you listening, Mr. Martin? We've got ideas! Hodor kills Littlefinger. There's your ending.

I want to see the bad man fly!

Theon: My… my finger!

Seems like another mystery they're purposefully stretching out over multiple episodes, but where the reveal will be kind of "Meh." cf. Xaro X. Xavos (?) and his vault last season.

This is my favorite part of the comments every week.

I read that more as surprised or confused than terrified; perhaps startled to find another game player in such an unlikely place. Also, Melisandre seemed pretty shaken by the revelation that her LoL was resurrecting brigands in the woods.
