Wow! I happen to be reading Annihilation on MU as well. Lots of fun. Not super deep or anything, but great action. I think I liked some of the prelude miniseries more than the main event itself, but it's pretty cool to see Ronan fighting alongside Starlord, et al if one's only point of reference is the Guardians

I thought the first issue was pretty good. I didn't know who Alpha Flight were, but they were cool, and I especially thought the tension between Carol and the head space station lady was well written.

Zenescope comics are a win/win.

"This is all part of the NWO agenda. The global elite run Hollywood they're luciferians The luciferians believe that God held adam and eve captive in the garden of eden and lucifer is the one who saved them and it's he they should worship."

Their Facebook page has 82,994 likes, so not quite 4 but not quite a million either.

Youtube is like 50% cat videos, 40% flat earth/illuminati/creationist/jade helm conspiracy videos, and 10% everything else.

Ty Segall is a Sontaran?

Jack Vance's 'The Dying Earth' series of novels and stories comes to mind. Set in a far, far future earth where the remnants of techonological society meet with a resurgence of fantasy and magic elements.

The first thing I thought of when I read the title was Perdido Street Station. A major plot element is a basic sci fi story layered over this incredibly dense fantastical world. It's as if a resident of this alternate world where incredible things are possible just happened to write an old school hard sci fi book.

Fun episode. It'd be cool if they set up Kids Hospital as a rival. It sounds like Scheer will be recurring throughout the season. That's fine, but I'd much rather he work on another season of NTSF:SD:SUV.

In Les Chants De Maldodor, the narrator describes cutting a smile into his face with a knife. I always wondered if that specific action and the character's general misanthropy were an inspiration for the movie Joker.

Bring back Robert Holmes!

It took all of Pedro Pascal's charm and talent to compensate that guy's suckiness. The wife wasn't helping.

He got to be a bit less annoying by the end, but never really became likable.

Is there? I'm not aware of it.

So an American version of Moone Boy

This might have it beat

On the one hand, yes, I love Tina. On the other, fuck SNL. As a lifelong viewer and apologist of even their worst episodes, it lost all my good will and support when it gave that jackass a forum and even a semblance of legitimacy.

The Irish gang in The Wanderers.

Neither is that shitty band Fun, but that hasn't stopped them.
