good article. I think movies are a depiction or part of the violent fantasies of our country, but not a real influence on said violence. Violent gun crime mostly happens in poor areas. It's economic for the most part. Removing gun violence from movies will not change gun violence in society.

gun violence in movies is largely erotic. Homoerotic, really. No one wants to admit it.
