Congratulations!  I'm glad to hear that you're finally being brought on full time.  It can be absolutely nerve wracking working as a contractor (though I only mainly did short-term stints, so that might be part of it).

God damned right.  Beautiful Girl was/is an amazing song.  Loved that band (…before they went all mod-rock).

One thing that always bothered me (even as a kid) about Stolen Memories was the monumentally insane loss of the recorded histories of these civilizations.  I know Superman saved Krypton's orb and that was probably most of what he could have saved, but he caused the destruction of Braniac's ship, anyway.

I saw them as well in the 90s, and I'll admit that they lacked some of the crazy energy they had even then, but hey, they're getting older and the fact that they're still playing is pretty impressive as it is.

I had the same thoughts as you.  I was really pulling for Snyder here, but after seeing it last night (I posted my thoughts somewhere below), I wish they had hired a good director for the "character/plot" sections (and a good screenwriter) and pulled in Snyder as a hired gun for the action sequences.
