Note: "really white" does not apply to Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal.

She's the Mayor of Mandyville. Other residents include Will's sister, Ainsley and Matthew Perry's lawyer character.

I don't think there's a tune that I have a bigger love-hate relationship with than Stella by Starlight. That is all.

"I find cleavage helps, in a crime fighting sense."

It's weird, because Stephen Fry's character is 100% flown in from a lighthearted whodunnit. He's essentially Dogberry.

Maybe Warner should get Kate Beaton to take a crack at writing a Wonder Woman movie. Couldn't hurt!

They cut out the Liza Minnelli subplot. A shame, too.

In the commentary they mention "non-fictional" was the original pitch, and retrospectively think it was the stronger choice. I kind of like "non-Brazilian" to be honest.

He's history greatest monster!

It's true: I used 7 of my daily 10 Grief Points on this, so I've only got 3 more to use.

Rex Reed?

I'm so happy there's a children's television show that features a libertarian, conspiracy theory-inspired villain. BUY GOLD.

The Cat's Meow and RKO 281 make for an excellent Hearst double feature.

I've seen it eight times (I watched all three commentaries, so just five times without). It's ridiculously re-watchable.

Fun fact: The Undiscovered Country is my favorite Trek film. Maybe Wrath of Khan just needed the cast to be more wizened.

T Bone Burnett rarely does wrong.

Yeah, this is a great feature so far. My only qualm is I'd like it to be more often than monthly (maybe it could build up a bigger readership that way?)

I'd recommend The Trotsky even though I wasn't super fond of it because it is really smartly written and fun, and Jay Baruchel is terrific (as is Colm Feore, but really, when isn't he?)

Her presence in that film was so perfect - a (slightly) faded beauty, with such a deep sadness in her performance.

I'd never seen or heard of it before (because I'm too young, yes yes kids these days etc.), but the whole aesthetic of it really reminds me of mid-90s commercials in the best way. "Surreal" was in.
