You're right, terrible is way too strong a term. It's a middling, unambitious movie but it is relatively competent.

Ah, fuck it. His stupid Arthur remake aside, I love Brand. He's quick-witted, articulate, and has a wonderful sense of humor about himself. I guess he was a little over-exposed and grins in an incredibly disarming way, but he's a real comic talent.
