Another point to add to the Grand AV Club Conspiracy: Tasha and Aaron are the same person.

…A Separation seems like an odd film to get riled up over.

Screw you, Dr. Cornel West!

…holy shit. I can't believe that I never thought of that before.

men be doing THIS
but get this
women be doing That

Grow Up and Blow Away is my favorite too, but it really feels like a first album: it's more experimental and all over the place. But it's got funky grooves and some of their best songwriting (Raw Sugar and The Twist are particularly good)

Oh hooray! Maybe I'll watch this tonight

POF is the worst thing in the world, unless you're really excited about married men looking for a "downlow" hookup. Got lotttts of requests for those.

I was almost at the front of the stage when Metric played Virgin Music Fest in Calgary. Absolutely amazing live show, Emily Hanes was positive and loving the crowd. The first time I saw her, at Mount Royal College in Calgary, she threw a huge bitchfit and the crowd and screamed "We're not gonna play an encore" and

What I've been listening to recently:

I'm just surprised I knew all the artists you listed!

A little bit! Keep in mind I've only seen two episodes so I feel a little wary about declaring it amazing or anything. I do like it a lot so far, though.

Everyone gets Biil Paxton and Bill Pullman mixed up, but I get Dennis Quaid and Bill Paxton mixed up. Now you know.

Brooks Brothers is what I'd wear if I had the cash. Siiiiigh.

Yeah that's what I was getting at. I've got a couple full-time jobs that use my degree and I'm well-qualified for on the line, so we'll see..most likely I'll be Starbucksing for a while but I knew my Bachelor of Music degree wouldn't have potential employers knocking down my door (though I do okay for freelancing).

They're not all bitter, for sure, but some of them have this awful aftertaste. There's a trend with them that I'm definitely not a fan of.

There is an amazing Portuguese roast chicken place on the west end of Toronto that is rapidly becoming my favorite restaurant. I wish I could have some now, actually…
