In the books it really is just a minor cut - it looks pretty severe from the start in the show.

I've been listening to Woman nonstop since its release and I didn't know that Rhye's singer is a guy. Doesn't matter, though, gorgeous voice and gorgeous music.
Yeah, he's fantastic. Especially in Eastern Promises.
He owes Cronenberg, doesn't he?
It gets fucking weird, too. Ian McKellan as Death from the Seventh Seal? What the hell?
To be fair: a lot of giallo is really fucking dumb. Even some of the exceptional giallo films are plot-less messes (but plot isn't really the point of giallo),
Amy Poehler is actually pretty good in it. Cheri Oteri on the other hand…
White's a decent writer, his Michael Jackson book was worth a read. He just snapped one day.
I remember seeing a billboard in the subway that said "Canada LOVES Rizzoli & Isles" before staring blankly at it and then walking away.
My sister's an atmospheric scientist who specializes in severe weather, and Twister is essentially the Plan 9 for atmospheric scientists - it's totally wacko, but still oddly respected.
The best part of that film was definitely the Stephen Fry-narrated, animated representation of the Guide. And the whale. I rather liked the whale.
@avclub-20064196f51f8b39c365b69a2591e02e:disqus : Yep, it was pointed out earlier in this thread (like most people here I'd never even heard of her, and I like 90s folk!). The point's taken here, but this shit pops up all the time and I just got sick of it. Progressives and liberals who are so eager to shift any kind…
I've known: Will Smith, Nick Carter and Sarah McLachlan.
Well no, internalized homophobia is something that comes up a lot. But there's something that's so very tiring about constantly hearing "This person hates gays? Well, they must be one of the gays themselves!"
Man, the ONE TIME I step in with a dramatic condemnation of the AV Club…
Look at this ignorant, horrible homophobe! Let's put her in her place by calling her gay!
It's weird how much I love Breakfast at Tiffany's, despite it having two major strikes against it: Horrible Mickey Rooney yellowface, and the equally offensive George Peppard. Ugh.
The music in that movie is exceptionally good, save for the fact that it gave us "The Hamster Dance".
Was pretty poorly received when it first came out, but it was a lot more embraced by later generations on VHS. I know I adored it as a kid.
Jackpot's pretty good. I had no idea it was from the Twin Falls Idaho guys.
